    The Divemaster program is the first level of professional membership in the diving community. In addition to the coordinating, supervising and guiding diving activities, the Divemaster plays a crucial role in the training of new divers, as a certified assistant to the instructor. Divemasters are individuals who:

     

    • Have a high level of personal diving skills
    • Have a detailed knowledge of diving theory; the same level as an instructor
    • Have significant training and experience assisting an instructor during diver training activities
    • Assume responsibility for the welfare of other divers in their charge
